About MissionWired

MissionWired is a mission-driven fundraising and communications agency dedicated to helping nonprofit organizations, progressive political campaigns, and social change initiatives create revolutionary strategies that advance their impact. With a proven track record of converting over $4.5 billion in donations for the world's most trusted philanthropies and groundbreaking campaigns, MissionWired combines strategic expertise with genuine commitment to social change. Our integrated approach spans email, SMS, direct mail, social media, and beyond—because we focus on channel-agnostic, results-driven solutions rather than siloed tactics.

We've partnered with respected organizations including Sandy Hook Promise, Human Rights Watch, The Humane Society of the U.S., Save the Children, and Friends of the Earth. Our team comprises innovative, progress-obsessed professionals who care deeply about advancing social and political change across the country.

The Role: Account Coordinator, Direct Mail

We are seeking a talented, detail-oriented Account Coordinator specializing in Direct Mail to support integrated marketing, fundraising, and communications strategies for some of our most significant nonprofit and advocacy direct mail programs. This is a full-time, salaried position with benefits eligibility.

As Account Coordinator, you will be the backbone of direct mail campaign execution and strategy support. You'll work closely with senior account managers, creative teams, and clients to ensure campaigns are executed flawlessly while meeting ambitious fundraising goals and donor engagement objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate all aspects of direct mail campaign production, from initial strategy through final deployment, ensuring timelines and budgets are met
  • Manage client communications, providing regular updates on campaign status, performance metrics, and deliverables
  • Develop compelling campaign briefs, copy outlines, and strategic recommendations that align with client objectives and donor psychology
  • Analyze campaign performance data and prepare insights reports that inform future strategy adjustments and optimization
  • Collaborate with creative, production, and analytics teams to troubleshoot issues and implement improvements
  • Conduct research on donor segments, competitive landscape, and industry best practices to inform strategic recommendations
  • Support proposal development and new business pitches with campaign examples, case studies, and strategic frameworks
  • Manage project timelines, track deliverables, and coordinate vendor relationships (printers, mailers, designers)
  • Maintain detailed campaign documentation and client files for continuity and institutional knowledge

What We're Looking For

  • Exceptional writing and editing skills: Ability to craft compelling fundraising copy, briefs, and client communications with accuracy and impact
  • Strong analytical abilities: Comfortable analyzing campaign data, identifying trends, and translating insights into strategic recommendations
  • Expert multitasking and organization: Juggle multiple client campaigns simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and meeting deadlines
  • Direct mail expertise or strong interest in direct mail fundraising: Understanding of direct mail best practices, audience segmentation, and response optimization is a plus
  • Client-focused mindset: Passionate about delivering exceptional service and building strong relationships with nonprofit and advocacy partners
  • Collaborative spirit: Work effectively across departments and with external partners to achieve common goals
  • Proficiency with project management and communication tools: Experience with Asana, Monday.com, Salesforce, or similar platforms is valuable
  • Genuine commitment to social change: Motivated by the mission of advancing nonprofit and progressive political causes

Required Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in account coordination, project management, fundraising, or marketing roles
  • Demonstrated excellence in written and verbal communication
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
  • Strong attention to detail with minimal errors in final deliverables
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Direct experience with direct mail campaigns or donor fundraising
  • Knowledge of nonprofit fundraising trends and best practices
  • Experience with CRM or fundraising databases (Salesforce, Bloomerang, etc.)
  • Background in political campaigns or progressive advocacy
  • Familiarity with analytics tools and reporting dashboards

Position Details

This is a temporary, salaried, and benefits-eligible position for a limited period ending no later than November 6, 2026. The role offers the potential for contract extension or continued employment following the end date, though extension is contingent upon business need and is not guaranteed. Details regarding potential extension will be discussed as the contract end date approaches.
