Position Overview
Interdependence is seeking a seasoned, strategic Account Director to lead integrated communications programs. This role is ideal for a senior PR leader who thrives at the intersection of brand storytelling, cultural relevance, and business growth.
The Account Director will oversee high-profile clients across a range of industries—shaping narratives that resonate with media, influencers, and audiences alike. This role combines senior-level client counsel, proactive idea generation, team leadership, and operational excellence, with a strong emphasis on delivering measurable impact and identifying opportunities to expand client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary day-to-day client partner, guiding strategy across earned media, thought leadership, experiential moments, partnerships, and cultural storytelling
- Lead integrated communications programs that elevate brand narratives and drive business outcomes
- Mentor account teams and collaborate closely with leadership to evolve agency capabilities
- Develop and execute strategic communications plans that generate measurable results and media impact
- Identify and pursue opportunities to expand client relationships and identify new revenue streams
- Maintain deep understanding of client business objectives and translate them into compelling communications strategies
- Manage relationships with media, influencers, and industry stakeholders to amplify client messages
- Lead brainstorming sessions and bring forward innovative ideas that drive cultural relevance

You excel at translating complex business challenges into compelling brand narratives and thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Core competencies: Advanced expertise in public relations strategy, integrated marketing communications, earned media relations, thought leadership development, and digital communications. You demonstrate strong business acumen, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple high-stakes client relationships simultaneously. Leadership experience, project management skills, and data-driven decision-making are essential.
