We're seeking Albanian language specialists with strong reading and writing proficiency to work on a freelance, contract basis. In this role, you will collaborate with advanced language models to evaluate translations, assess grammar and fluency, analyze tone and meaning, and identify inaccuracies or unnatural phrasing. You may also help review region-specific variations, including standard Albanian and commonly used dialects, to ensure outputs are contextually appropriate and culturally sensitive.

What You'll Do Daily

• Engage with language models in both Albanian and English
• Review and evaluate generated text for linguistic accuracy and naturalness
• Annotate errors and provide corrected versions with detailed reasoning
• Document patterns in model performance and linguistic gaps
• Evaluate how models handle formal versus informal registers
• Assess technical terminology and culturally specific references
• Analyze dialectal variations and regional appropriateness

Required Qualifications

• Native or near-native fluency in Albanian (both written and spoken)
• Strong attention to detail and linguistic precision
• Clear written communication skills in Albanian and English
• Ability to explain linguistic corrections and reasoning logically

Preferred Qualifications

• Background in linguistics, translation, or language education
• Experience in journalism, communications, or related language-focused fields
• Knowledge of Albanian dialects and regional variations
• Entry-level candidates with exceptional language proficiency are encouraged to apply

Working Conditions

This is a fully remote freelance position with flexible scheduling. You will need to supply your own secure computer and high-speed internet connection. As a contractor, company-sponsored benefits such as health insurance and paid time off do not apply.

💰 Compensation: $6–$65 per hour, determined based on your experience, expertise, and geographic location. Hourly equivalent estimate for full-time engagement: $80K–$130K USD annually.
