About This Role
We are seeking an experienced Batch Scheduling Specialist to join our team at Inetum2, supporting AVANGRID's Global Operations Platform and Technical Services (GOPTS). This is a remote position ideal for professionals with deep expertise in batch job scheduling, process automation, and enterprise IT operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain batch scheduling solutions within enterprise environments
- Monitor and optimize batch job execution schedules across multiple systems and applications
- Troubleshoot scheduling conflicts, failed jobs, and performance bottlenecks
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to ensure reliable, timely job execution
- Document scheduling configurations, procedures, and disaster recovery protocols
- Perform capacity planning and resource allocation for batch processing workloads
- Support automation initiatives to reduce manual intervention and improve operational efficiency
- Maintain audit logs and reporting for compliance and operational visibility
- Respond to production incidents related to batch scheduling failures
- Participate in system upgrades and migrations
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with batch scheduling tools (e.g., Control-M, Autosys, Tivoli, Quartz, or similar platforms)
- Strong understanding of job scheduling concepts, workflow orchestration, and dependency management
- Experience with enterprise IT operations and production support environments
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Bash, PowerShell, Python, or similar)
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Strong communication skills and documentation practices
- Familiarity with ITIL practices or similar operational frameworks
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Control-M or other enterprise batch schedulers
- Knowledge of cloud-based scheduling solutions
- Background in energy, utilities, or telecommunications sectors
- Experience with monitoring and alerting systems
- Certification in relevant scheduling tools or IT operations
