About This Opportunity

Celerion is seeking a skilled, performance-oriented Electronic Data Capture (EDC) Database Developer / Clinical Programmer to join our Clinical Data Sciences team. This is a full-time remote position based in the US, with occasional travel required for training and key meetings. You'll play a critical role in accelerating life-saving drug development through expert EDC system administration and clinical trial support.

Key Responsibilities

  • EDC Database Administration: Manage and administer Electronic Data Capture systems for clinical trial projects, ensuring optimal performance and regulatory compliance.
  • Protocol & Requirements Evaluation: Analyze study protocols and client requirements to develop comprehensive EDC solutions tailored to project needs.
  • Electronic Case Report Form (eCRF) Design & Build: Design, develop, and implement electronic case report forms with corresponding validation edits, ensuring data integrity and usability.
  • Vendor & Technical Management: Serve as the primary technical liaison with EDC vendors and supporting applications, troubleshooting issues and escalating problems to appropriate partners.
  • Expert Guidance: Provide specialist recommendations and guidance throughout the complete lifecycle—design, development, validation, implementation, and maintenance of study set-up.
  • System Deployment: Manage the deployment of EDC trials to production environments, coordinate with cross-functional teams, and establish interface connections between EDC systems and other enterprise applications.
  • Analysis & Recommendations: Conduct thorough evaluation and analysis to identify opportunities for improvement and provide actionable recommendations for achieving project goals.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience with Electronic Data Capture (EDC) systems administration and development
  • Strong knowledge of eCRF design and clinical trial database principles
  • Experience with clinical data management and regulatory compliance standards (21 CFR Part 11, CDISC)
  • Technical proficiency in database management and validation processes
  • Excellent vendor management and cross-functional communication skills
  • Familiarity with system integration and interface development
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities in a clinical research context
