The Role
As a Senior Member of Technical Staff on our Applied ML team, you'll work directly with enterprise customers to understand their most pressing challenges and architect scalable solutions using large language models. You'll bridge the gap between cutting-edge AI research and real-world enterprise adoption, delivering products with the velocity and impact of an early-stage startup CTO.
This is a leadership position where you'll influence product direction, mentor distributed engineering teams, and help reshape critical industries globally.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and execute large-scale projects from ideation through production deployment
- Drive cross-functional alignment across engineering, product, design, and business teams
- Mentor and develop a distributed team of ML engineers, sharing deep technical expertise
- Identify capability gaps in existing models and strategize priority improvements
- Collaborate closely with product teams to translate customer needs into technical solutions
- Partner with external organizations on strategic initiatives
- Contribute to intellectual property development and patent preparation with legal teams
- Take on diverse responsibilities in a fast-moving, pivotal organization
Required Qualifications
- Proven track record leading ML teams in applied research and production environments
- Experience setting and executing technical direction for new or refined AI/ML products
- Success working cross-functionally in matrix organizations
- Expert-level proficiency in Python and ML frameworks (TensorFlow, TF-Serving, JAX, XLA/MLIR)
- Hands-on experience with large-scale distributed training and inference infrastructure
- Strong mentorship, communication, and problem-solving capabilities
- Demonstrated passion for applied ML models and real-world product impact
- Regional expertise or network in the Middle East is valued
