About This Role

Continental is seeking an experienced Application Engineer specializing in Fluid Handling Solutions to join our growing remote team. Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop application-specific solutions for fluid handling systems, ensuring optimal performance and reliability
  • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to translate customer requirements into technical specifications
  • Conduct feasibility analyses and technical assessments for new and existing fluid handling projects
  • Provide technical support and engineering guidance to customers throughout the product lifecycle
  • Test, validate, and troubleshoot fluid handling applications in various operational environments
  • Document technical specifications, design decisions, and application case studies for knowledge sharing
  • Stay current with industry standards, regulations, and technological advancements in fluid handling technology
  • Participate in design reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related discipline
  • 3+ years of professional experience in application engineering or fluid systems design
  • Strong understanding of fluid dynamics, pressure systems, and component integration
  • Proficiency with CAD software and engineering analysis tools
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to technical detail
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences
  • Experience with product lifecycle management and technical documentation

Preferred Skills

  • Knowledge of automotive or industrial fluid systems
  • Experience with simulation software (CFD, FEA)
  • Familiarity with industry standards (ISO, SAE, DIN)
  • Project management experience
  • Previous remote work experience
