Data Analyst - Pharmaceutical Industry

Devoteam is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Data Analyst specializing in the pharmaceutical industry to join our growing analytics team on a fully remote basis. In this role, you will be responsible for transforming complex pharmaceutical datasets into actionable business intelligence, supporting strategic initiatives across clinical operations, regulatory compliance, market analysis, and commercial performance. You'll work with cross-functional teams including research, operations, and business stakeholders to identify data-driven solutions that improve efficiency, reduce costs, and ultimately contribute to better patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Data Analysis & Reporting: Design, develop, and maintain comprehensive dashboards and reports using business intelligence tools to track key performance indicators (KPIs) across pharmaceutical operations
• Data Quality Management: Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and compliance with regulatory standards (FDA, EMA, ICH guidelines) through rigorous validation and cleaning processes
• Clinical & Commercial Analytics: Analyze clinical trial data, drug development pipelines, market trends, and sales performance to support decision-making at all organizational levels
• Regulatory Compliance Support: Assist in meeting pharmaceutical industry regulatory requirements including data governance, documentation, and audit trails
• Database Management: Query, extract, and manipulate data from various pharmaceutical management systems, ERP platforms, and specialized healthcare databases
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work with scientists, product managers, commercial teams, and executives to understand analytical requirements and translate them into technical solutions
• Process Optimization: Identify inefficiencies in data workflows and recommend automation improvements to enhance reporting speed and accuracy
• Forecasting & Trend Analysis: Develop predictive models to forecast drug demand, patient populations, and market opportunities

Required Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Data Analyst, ideally with exposure to pharmaceutical, biotech, healthcare, or life sciences industries
• Advanced proficiency in SQL for complex data querying and manipulation
• Strong expertise with business intelligence and data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or similar platforms)
• Solid understanding of pharmaceutical business processes, clinical trial terminology, or healthcare data structures
• Proficiency with statistical analysis and data modeling techniques
• Experience working with large, complex datasets in regulated environments
• Excellent communication skills with ability to translate technical findings into business insights
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
• Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Healthcare Administration, or related field (or equivalent professional experience)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Python or R for advanced statistical analysis
• Knowledge of pharmaceutical regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements
• Familiarity with ERP systems used in pharmaceutical companies (SAP, Oracle, Infor)
• Experience with clinical data management systems or electronic health records (EHR)
• Understanding of drug development lifecycle and market access processes
• Previous remote work experience demonstrating strong self-management and communication
