About the Role
Devoteam is seeking an experienced Project Director (Directeur de projet H/F) to lead and oversee complex project initiatives in a remote capacity. This leadership position offers the opportunity to drive strategic project delivery, manage cross-functional teams, and ensure successful outcomes for high-impact engagements across a global organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end project management for large-scale initiatives, from planning and scoping through successful delivery and closure
- Oversee budget management, resource allocation, and timeline adherence to ensure projects stay on track and within financial parameters
- Direct cross-functional teams and manage stakeholder communications at all organizational levels
- Develop comprehensive project plans, risk assessments, and mitigation strategies to minimize project delays and cost overruns
- Monitor project performance using industry-standard metrics and reporting tools; provide regular updates to senior leadership
- Identify process improvements and implement best practices to enhance project delivery efficiency
- Manage vendor relationships and third-party partnerships to support project success
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies, quality standards, and regulatory requirements throughout the project lifecycle
- Mentor junior project managers and contribute to the development of project management capabilities within the organization
- Facilitate problem-solving and conflict resolution to maintain team productivity and morale
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience managing large, complex projects with budgets of significant scale
- Strong proficiency in project management methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, or hybrid approaches)
- Demonstrated expertise in resource planning, budget forecasting, and financial management
- Excellent leadership and team management capabilities with experience supervising diverse teams
- Advanced stakeholder management and executive communication skills
- Fluency in English and French (or other relevant languages depending on project scope)
- Project Management Professional (PMP), PRINCE2, or equivalent certification is highly valued
- Minimum 5+ years of project management experience, with at least 2-3 years in a director-level or senior leadership role
- Proficiency with project management software and tools (MS Project, Jira, Asana, Monday.com, or similar platforms)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in digital transformation or IT service delivery projects
- Background in consulting or professional services delivery
- Knowledge of IT infrastructure, cloud services, or enterprise systems integration
- Experience leading remote or distributed teams across multiple time zones
- Previous exposure to SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) or enterprise agile methodologies
