About the Role

Docplanner is seeking a talented Backend Engineer to join our team and lead the integration of artificial intelligence technologies into our platform. In this role, you will architect, develop, and maintain robust backend systems that power AI-driven features, ensuring scalability, performance, and reliability across our global user base.

As a Backend Engineer specializing in AI integration, you will work at the intersection of traditional backend development and cutting-edge machine learning technologies. Your primary focus will be designing and implementing APIs, microservices, and data pipelines that enable seamless AI functionality while maintaining high system performance and security standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable backend architectures that integrate AI/ML models into production environments
• Build robust APIs and microservices to support AI-powered features and real-time data processing
• Collaborate with data scientists and ML engineers to optimize model deployment and inference pipelines
• Implement comprehensive testing, monitoring, and logging solutions for AI-integrated systems
• Ensure code quality, security, and adherence to best practices through code reviews and documentation
• Troubleshoot performance bottlenecks and optimize database queries and system efficiency
• Participate in architectural decisions and contribute to technical strategy for AI integration roadmap
• Mentor junior engineers and share knowledge about backend systems and AI integration patterns

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of professional backend development experience with proven expertise in Python, Java, Go, or similar languages
• Strong understanding of microservices architecture, distributed systems, and API design patterns
• Experience integrating or deploying machine learning models in production environments
• Proficiency with relational and NoSQL databases, message queues, and caching systems
• Solid grasp of software engineering principles, testing methodologies, and CI/CD pipelines
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to handle complex technical challenges
• Strong communication skills and experience working in collaborative, cross-functional teams
• Self-motivated with a passion for staying current with emerging technologies and best practices
