Software Engineer, Agentic Products
💰 $120,000 – $180,000/yr
Job Description
About Flux
Flux is pioneering the future of hardware design by developing the world's first AI Hardware Engineer. The mission is bold: democratize the ability to create cutting-edge hardware and revolutionize how electronics are designed and manufactured globally. Flux is building software that can design real, manufacturable electronics from a simple prompt—transforming the hardware engineering landscape.
The Role
As a Software Engineer, Agentic Products, you'll build the intelligent core of this revolutionary system. Your focus will be developing agentic workflows, reasoning graphs, and integrations that empower both novice users and seasoned electrical engineers. This is a unique opportunity to combine deep web engineering expertise with advanced AI systems design.
You'll work with TypeScript and LangGraph across both the Flux web application and backend platform, embedding sophisticated intelligence directly into the design environment. This role bridges full-stack web development with cutting-edge generative AI—a rare and valuable combination in today's market.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop agentic reasoning capabilities using TypeScript and LangGraph frameworks
- Integrate AI behaviors into the Flux web app (React/Redux) and conversational Chat UI
- Design and implement comprehensive telemetry and logging systems for runtime health, performance monitoring, and cost tracking
- Collaborate closely with product and electrical engineers to architect intelligent ECAD workflows
- Build evaluation frameworks and translate data insights into actionable engineering decisions
- Establish agentic patterns, conventions, and best practices that scale across the engineering organization
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with proven production impact
- 1+ year of hands-on experience developing generative AI or agentic systems
- Strong, demonstrable expertise in TypeScript, React, and Node.js
- Proven experience with LangChain, LangGraph, or equivalent AI orchestration frameworks
- Track record of successfully building asynchronous, distributed systems operating in production environments
- Experience integrating LLM-based systems into complex, user-facing web products
- Excellent communication skills and comfort working in fully remote, asynchronous teams
- Background working at startups or in 0→1 product development environments
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience building retrieval systems, evaluation pipelines, or agent benchmarking frameworks
- Open-source contributions to AI or developer tools projects
- Familiarity with hardware design concepts or ECAD (Electronic Computer-Aided Design) tools
- Background in applied machine learning, data-driven experimentation, or natural language processing
- Experience architecting distributed, highly available systems operating at significant scale
Why Join Flux
This is an opportunity to work on a genuinely transformative product at the intersection of AI and hardware engineering. You'll join a team pushing the boundaries of what's possible in automated design, working alongside talented electrical engineers and AI researchers. The fully remote structure offers flexibility while maintaining strong collaboration and clear communication channels.
