Role Overview

As a Senior Software Engineer on the Product Engineering team, you will own and lead engineering projects across Harvey's product lines. You'll work closely with AI, Legal, and Go-to-Market teams to build secure, scalable systems that deliver measurable value to customers. This role is ideal for engineers with experience building incredible products across consumer, enterprise, and diverse industries who are excited about shaping the future of application-layer and generative AI products.

Key Responsibilities

• Build retrieval systems operating over petabyte-scale document repositories
• Design organizational-level interfaces enabling seamless AI collaboration
• Manage dedicated GPU capacity across 5+ geographic regions
• Architect multi-step planning agents supporting complex enterprise workflows
• Implement government-grade security for sensitive business matters
• Evaluate Large Language Models across extensive task taxonomies (10k+ leaf nodes)
• Collect and process internet-scale data from 50+ jurisdictions
• Lead full-stack development from concept through production deployment

What You Bring

• 5+ years of post-degree experience in product-focused full-stack software engineering roles
• Frontend expertise: React, TypeScript, CSS (preferably TailwindCSS)
• Backend proficiency: Python and modern backend frameworks
• SaaS experience: Proven track record building fast-growing SaaS products leveraging Progressive Web App technologies
• Product sense: Track record shipping highly intuitive, user-centric products with strong design fundamentals
• Systems thinking: Ability to design and own systems across the full technology stack
• Execution excellence: Demonstrated ability to move fast, ship quality code, and iterate based on user feedback
