The Opportunity

We are seeking a Head of Commercial Strategy to establish Mind, Sword's AI-powered mental health solution, as the category leader across health plans, self-insured employers, brokers, consultants, and platform partners. This is a high-impact individual contributor leadership role—not a quota-carrying sales position. You will not manage a team but will drive outsized strategic impact through personal expertise, relationships, and organizational influence.

Your Core Responsibilities

  • Define market positioning and competitive differentiation for Mind against incumbents in mental health and EAP space
  • Generate and qualify pipeline opportunities across health plans, brokers, consultants, and employers
  • Develop commercial intelligence ensuring Mind achieves 75–80%+ win rates against established competitors like Lyra, Spring Health, Modern Health, Headspace, and traditional EAP providers
  • Serve as the external face of Mind's commercial narrative and internal voice of the market
  • Shape product positioning, pipeline development strategy, and product evolution based on market feedback
  • Equip sales teams with positioning, proof points, relationships, and market intelligence to win consistently
  • Close the loop from market feedback to product development, ensuring alignment with customer needs

This role is critical to establishing Mind's market leadership. You will determine how health plans, brokers, consultants, and employers perceive Mind relative to every alternative available, ensuring your organization becomes the unambiguous category leader in AI-powered mental health.
