About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Application Support Engineer to join our team and provide specialized technical support for our simulation tools platform. In this role, you will be the critical link between our users and our engineering team, ensuring smooth operation and optimal performance of our simulation applications across global deployments.

As an Application Support Engineer, you will handle a diverse range of technical issues, from troubleshooting complex simulation scenarios to optimizing tool performance. You'll work with clients across various industries who depend on our simulation tools for mission-critical operations, including engineering analysis, product development, and research applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for simulation tools and related software applications
  • Diagnose and resolve application issues reported by end-users and internal stakeholders
  • Document technical problems, solutions, and best practices in a centralized knowledge base
  • Collaborate with product development and engineering teams to escalate and resolve complex issues
  • Monitor application performance and system health, identifying potential issues before they impact users
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, user guides, and troubleshooting procedures
  • Conduct root cause analysis on recurring issues and recommend improvements
  • Provide user training and guidance on proper tool utilization and advanced features
  • Track and manage support tickets through resolution using ticketing systems

Required Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in technical application support or similar role
  • Strong understanding of simulation software concepts and workflows
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting complex technical issues
  • Experience with Windows and/or Linux operating systems
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to explain technical concepts clearly
  • Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment
  • Experience with ticketing systems and support documentation tools

Preferred Qualifications

  • Background in engineering, mathematics, or scientific computing
  • Experience with simulation or CAE (Computer-Aided Engineering) tools
  • Knowledge of programming languages such as Python, C++, or similar
  • Database management experience
  • Exposure to Agile development methodologies
