People & Talent Specialist - Remote
💰 $80,000 – $130,000/yr
Job Description
About This Role
Join Inflect as a People & Talent Specialist in a fully remote position that combines strategic talent acquisition with people operations. You'll partner closely with our VP of People Operations to drive company growth while protecting and nurturing our culture of diversity and inclusivity. This is a unique opportunity to shape how we build our team from the ground up.
Initially, you'll focus 75% on Talent Acquisition and 25% on People Operations. You'll manage the complete candidate lifecycle—from writing compelling job descriptions and sourcing talent to conducting phone screens and facilitating hiring decisions. As Inflect scales, expect your role to evolve into a 50/50 split where you'll champion internal HR initiatives, design onboarding programs, and train hiring managers on interviewing with precision and empathy.
This role demands more than traditional HR administration. We're seeking a "culture protector" who enjoys finding exceptional talent and ensuring every hire strengthens our mission to revolutionize digital infrastructure.
What You'll Do
- Execute end-to-end talent acquisition processes including job description creation, candidate sourcing, screening, and interview coordination
- Build diverse, equitable, and inclusive candidate pipelines that reflect our global market and values
- Partner with hiring managers to understand their needs and match them with exceptional talent
- Develop and maintain recruiting workflows and processes that scale with company growth
- Contribute to people operations initiatives including onboarding program development and culture initiatives
- Train and coach hiring managers on best practices in interviewing and candidate evaluation
- Maintain detailed recruiting metrics and reporting on key performance indicators
- Serve as a culture ambassador, ensuring our hiring practices align with our core values
Who You Are
You're a talented people-focused professional with genuine curiosity about human nature and what drives people to succeed. You possess high emotional intelligence and can navigate complex conversations with both hiring managers and candidates. You thrive juggling multiple projects simultaneously and maintain unwavering commitment to excellence in everything you do.
Core qualities that define you:
- Quality-First Approach: You reject the "spray and pray" method of filling positions. You prioritize placing the right candidate over hitting quick time-to-fill metrics, understanding that a strong hire outweighs speed every time.
- DEI Champion: Diversity, equity, and inclusion aren't checkboxes for you—they're fundamental to building world-class teams. You actively design hiring processes that remove barriers and create equitable opportunities.
- Culture Guardian: You recognize that culture is built through who we hire and how we work together daily. You take pride in protecting and advancing our company values through every hiring decision.
- Talent Insight: You identify exceptional candidates others overlook. You understand what makes people tick and can spot potential, passion, and cultural fit beyond surface-level credentials.
- Passion Over Credentials: You care far less about HR certifications than about adaptability, drive, and genuine talent for identifying exceptional people. You bring energy and enthusiasm to the work.
- Excellence in Execution: You refuse to deliver mediocre candidate experiences. Every touchpoint matters, and you operate with professionalism and respect at all stages.
Ideal Candidate Profile
You likely have experience in talent acquisition or people operations, though we value demonstrated passion and capability over formal certifications. You understand recruiting as a strategic function, not an administrative task. You're comfortable with ambiguity and can build processes from the ground up. You communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders and adjust your approach based on individual needs. You use data to inform decisions but trust your intuition about people. Most importantly, you believe that building a diverse, inclusive company isn't just ethical—it's essential to success.
Why Join Inflect
You'll work with a team committed to revolutionizing digital infrastructure while maintaining a culture that values every team member. This is a chance to build talent acquisition and people operations functions from an early stage, giving you significant influence over how we grow. You'll have direct partnership with leadership, learning from experienced people operations professionals while contributing your unique perspective and skills.
