About This Role

FusionConsulting is seeking an experienced IT M365 Administrator / Support specialist to join our growing remote team. This is an excellent opportunity for IT professionals who are passionate about managing Microsoft 365 environments and providing exceptional technical support to users across distributed organizations.

As an IT M365 Administrator / Support professional, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management, configuration, and optimization of Microsoft 365 services. You'll play a critical role in ensuring our infrastructure remains secure, efficient, and user-friendly while supporting both technical and non-technical team members.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer and manage Microsoft 365 (Office 365) environments, including user provisioning, licensing, and access management
  • Configure and maintain Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive, and other M365 applications
  • Provide first and second-level technical support to end-users, troubleshooting issues and resolving tickets efficiently
  • Implement and enforce security policies, including multi-factor authentication (MFA), conditional access, and data loss prevention (DLP)
  • Monitor system performance, manage backups, and ensure business continuity and disaster recovery protocols
  • Document configurations, maintain knowledge bases, and create standard operating procedures
  • Collaborate with IT team members to plan and execute system upgrades and migrations
  • Respond to security incidents and implement appropriate remediation measures
  • Manage cloud identity and access using Azure Active Directory (AAD) and associated tools
  • Support remote work infrastructure and tools for a distributed workforce

Required Qualifications

  • Proven experience administering Microsoft 365 environments (minimum 2+ years preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, and Microsoft Teams
  • Hands-on experience with Azure Active Directory and identity management
  • Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation and bulk operations
  • Understanding of cloud security best practices and compliance requirements
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Strong communication abilities and customer service orientation
  • Relevant Microsoft certifications (such as MS-900, AZ-900, or MS-100/MS-101) are highly valued

Preferred Experience

  • Experience with Intune for device management
  • Knowledge of hybrid cloud environments and on-premises Active Directory
  • Familiarity with ticketing systems and IT service management (ITSM) tools
  • Background in IT support, help desk, or system administration
  • Experience with email security, endpoint protection, and threat management
  • Understanding of compliance frameworks such as GDPR, HIPAA, or SOC 2
