Kotlin Developer (IBS)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Kotlin Developer to join our IBS (Integration & Business Services) team at Inetum. This is a fully remote position offering the flexibility to work from anywhere while contributing to innovative backend solutions and enterprise-grade applications.

As a Kotlin Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust server-side applications using Kotlin and related technologies. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable solutions that meet our clients' evolving business needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain production-grade Kotlin applications and microservices
• Design and implement RESTful APIs and backend services
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following industry best practices
• Collaborate with product managers, architects, and other developers to translate requirements into technical solutions
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of code quality
• Troubleshoot and optimize application performance and reliability
• Document technical decisions and maintain comprehensive code documentation
• Stay current with Kotlin ecosystem developments and emerging technologies
• Contribute to system design discussions and architectural decisions
• Work with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices for efficient deployment

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional Kotlin development experience
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and functional programming paradigms
• Experience with Spring Boot or similar enterprise frameworks
• Proficiency in building RESTful APIs and microservices architecture
• Solid knowledge of relational and/or NoSQL databases
• Experience with version control systems (Git)
• Understanding of software design patterns and SOLID principles
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in distributed teams
• Fluent English (written and spoken)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Spring Cloud or cloud-native technologies
• Familiarity with Docker and containerization
• Knowledge of Kubernetes or container orchestration
• Experience with message brokers (RabbitMQ, Kafka)
• Understanding of reactive programming and Project Reactor
• Experience with testing frameworks (JUnit, Mockito, Kotest)
• Exposure to CI/CD tools and practices (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions)
• Knowledge of agile development methodologies
