Role Overview
We are seeking a Managed Care Liaison (MCL) / Health Economics Field Lead to join our Market Access team. This US-based remote position with field responsibilities focuses on communicating and refining health economic and outcomes research (HEOR) evidence that supports payer engagement activities across GRAIL's diagnostic portfolio.
In this role, you will conduct high-quality, non-promotional scientific exchange with payers, including evidence-focused education, health economic discussions, and responses to unsolicited medical and scientific inquiries. You will serve as a critical scientific and economic subject matter expert (SME) when payer-facing interactions require deep HEOR expertise.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner closely with Market Access Payer Engagement and Government Affairs teams to shape payer value narratives
- Deliver evidence-based messaging and payer-focused education on HEOR outcomes
- Engage in scientific exchange discussions addressing payer evidence expectations and reimbursement considerations
- Respond to unsolicited medical and scientific inquiries from payers with evidence-based solutions
- Serve as a scientific and economic SME for complex payer interactions
- Support payer value communication strategies across GRAIL's diagnostic portfolio
- Collaborate with Medical Affairs, Market Access, Government Affairs, and Commercial teams
- Contribute to evidence-based policy discussions and reimbursement strategy development
Required Qualifications
- Deep expertise in health economics and outcomes research (HEOR)
- Strong understanding of payer evidence expectations, requirements, and reimbursement frameworks
- Proven ability to communicate complex health economic concepts to payer audiences
- Scientific and clinical fluency with the ability to translate data into actionable insights
- Experience with value communication and payer engagement strategies
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for scientific exchange
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple stakeholder relationships
- Willingness to travel up to 35% for field-based payer engagement activities
