The Role

As we scale through deeper use of AI, automation, APIs, and cross-functional media intelligence, the Media Buyer role is evolving from pure execution into a hybrid operator-strategist position. You'll take full ownership of performance outcomes on specific projects, acting as a strategic growth driver by identifying high-leverage opportunities across creative, audience, funnel, offer, and structure. You'll partner with Growth Strategists to steer spend decisions and lead end-to-end media operations to enable sustainable scaling.

What You'll Do

Problem Diagnosis & Opportunity Identification

  • Identify gaps in account structure, test process, graduation or win rates, targeting, placements, and bid strategies
  • Research market, product, and competition proactively to contribute valuable strategic inputs
  • Uncover untapped niches, message-market fit gaps, creative formats, and placement-specific performance opportunities
  • Diagnose post-click experience gaps including landing page optimisation, mobile vs. desktop performance, and cross-sell/upsell strategies

Smart Use of Video Inventory

  • Pair videos with optimal new copy and resurface high-performing legacy copy to enhance new video performance
  • Adjust post-click destinations strategically to maximise performance (sales page vs. listicle vs. quiz vs. VSL funnel)
  • Suggest structural changes and solve bottlenecks in AOV, CVR, and backend monetisation

Strategic Execution & Scaling

  • Build and optimise media buying campaigns across multiple platforms and channels
  • Conduct competitive analysis and identify emerging opportunities in the DTC landscape
  • Use data-driven insights to inform creative direction and audience targeting
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with growth teams to align on strategy and execution

About You

You bring proven experience in performance marketing and media buying, ideally in DTC or e-commerce. You're analytical, strategic, and comfortable translating data into actionable insights. You have a track record of identifying opportunities, optimising funnels, and scaling profitable channels. You're proactive, collaborative, and driven by measurable outcomes.
