Full Stack Engineer, Command
💰 $115,000 – $165,000/yr
Job Description
About Meter
Meter builds better internet infrastructure, making it exceptionally easy for businesses to deploy and manage computer networking, internet, and Wi-Fi at scale. Today's networking landscape is complex, fragmented, and opaque. Meter is transforming this by building a vertically integrated stack spanning hardware, software, and operations—delivering networking as a modern utility that's intuitive, reliable, and intelligent.
About Command
Command is Meter's generative UI interface: a natural language layer over the entire Meter stack. This innovative tool lets users inspect, configure, and resolve network issues through conversational interactions. Users can ask questions like "What's going on with the Wi-Fi on the third floor?" or issue commands like "Block all traffic from this device starting now." Command combines real-time telemetry, historical context, and AI-driven reasoning to transform how teams and customers interact with networks.
The Role
We're seeking an experienced Full Stack Engineer to lead product development for Command. This is a deeply cross-functional position where you'll shape how users interact with intelligent infrastructure. You'll collaborate closely with our model team, application engineering, operations, and support teams to craft intuitive, powerful workflows. Your work will directly impact thousands of deployed locations and millions of connected devices worldwide.
Key Responsibilities
Own end-to-end development of Command across the full stack—from user experience to backend services to AI model integration
Design and implement frontend features using Next.js, TypeScript, and React
Build and scale backend services using TypeScript, PlanetScale DB, QStash, and related technologies
Integrate LLMs and AI models into live user workflows, ensuring reliability and performance
Define product direction through close collaboration with users and cross-functional teams
Shape the feel, behavior, and interaction design of a conversational, expressive, and intelligent user interface
Move quickly while maintaining high standards of reliability, clarity, and code quality
Ideal Candidate Profile
Excited to work at the intersection of product, AI/ML models, and infrastructure
Proven experience building full stack products with real users in high-stakes environments
Strong instincts for product feel, interaction design, and system behavior
Ability to balance speed with reliability and architectural clarity
Deep curiosity about how networks work and how to make complex systems accessible
Comfortable in fast-moving startup environments with evolving priorities
