The Role
As an Account Development Representative, you'll be instrumental in uncovering business needs for Strategic and Enterprise Accounts, building a robust pipeline for our sales organization. Working closely with marketing, sales enablement, and management, you'll create targeted campaigns, conduct strategic prospecting, and nurture leads to the handoff point for our sales team. Your ability to deliver an exceptional customer and prospect experience will directly influence Postman's growth trajectory.
What You'll Do
- Collaborate with the Account Development Manager and cross-functional teams to identify and generate new business and expansion opportunities within strategic target accounts
- Meet or exceed strategic goals and committed targets by engaging qualified leads and advancing them through the sales cycle
- Conduct thorough research within targeted accounts to identify key decision-makers and gather critical account intelligence
- Qualify opportunities by understanding prospect business challenges and educating them on Postman's product value proposition
- Identify and target strategic new prospects that will accelerate territory growth
- Engage with prospects identified through marketing campaigns and inbound efforts
- Master sales prospecting platforms and tools to enhance targeting and outreach effectiveness
- Use identified customer challenges to prescribe relevant campaigns and events that drive engagement
- Develop and maintain superior customer service relationships with all prospects throughout the sales cycle
- Conduct regular self-audits of activity to ensure accuracy and drive continuous improvement
- Proactively develop deep product knowledge of Postman, competitive solutions, and market trends through online resources, webinars, and marketing materials
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date lead status and prospect interaction records in our CRM application
- Become proficient with sales enablement tools and platforms to maximize productivity
About You
- 1–2 years of professional experience in business development, sales, or a related field
- Fluent in Swedish (required for this role) and English
- Strong prospecting and lead qualification skills with a consultative selling mindset
- Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while collaborating across teams
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills
- Comfortable with CRM systems and sales enablement technology
- Genuine curiosity about technology, APIs, and developer tools
- Track record of meeting or exceeding targets and goals
