The Role

As an Instructional Designer at Roadie, you will be responsible for developing engaging, interactive, and effective learning materials and resources tailored to the unique needs of the Customer Experience (CX) team. This is a strategic position where you'll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, content creators, and subject matter experts, to design and deliver high-quality training programs and resources that empower our remote workforce to succeed.

You'll play a crucial role in building a learning culture that supports team development, improves performance, and enhances the overall employee experience across Roadie's distributed workforce.

What You'll Do

  • Collaborate with CX stakeholders to conduct comprehensive needs assessments, identify learning objectives, and determine appropriate learning strategies for the CX team
  • Design, develop, and implement a variety of instructional materials, including digital learning modules, presentations, tutorials, videos, job aids, and other resources using proven instructional design principles and best practices
  • Create interactive and engaging learning experiences that cater to diverse learning styles and preferences, ensuring accessibility and effectiveness across all learners
  • Conduct thorough learning evaluations to measure the effectiveness and impact of learning interventions across all levels — from reaction through results
  • Continuously iterate and improve upon instructional materials based on feedback from facilitators, learnings, and needs analysis data
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies in instructional design and adult learning to inform the development of innovative, cutting-edge learning solutions
  • Collaborate with external vendors and partners as needed to augment in-house expertise and resources
  • Provide guidance and support to internal teams and stakeholders on instructional design principles, best practices, and learning strategy implementation

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Instructional Design, Education, Learning Sciences, or a related field
  • Proven experience of 3+ years in instructional design, e-learning development, and instructor-led training delivery
  • Strong knowledge of instructional design principles, adult learning theory, learning evaluation frameworks, and instructional technology tools and platforms
  • Hands-on experience with learning management systems (LMS) and content management systems (CMS)
  • Demonstrated proficiency using Articulate Storyline, Rise, and other rapid e-learning development tools
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high quality standards
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders at all organizational levels
  • Experience developing training for remote or distributed teams is highly valued
  • Portfolio or examples of instructional design work demonstrating your approach to solving learning challenges
