The Role
As a UX Design & Research Intern, you'll join our UX team to build and grow Baseline, our design system—the foundation of every consistent, thoughtful experience across our platform. From day one, your work will have real impact, researching, designing, and documenting components that empower designers and engineers to build with confidence. What You'll Do
- Audit existing components and patterns for usability, consistency, and accessibility compliance
- Design and refine components in Figma, collaborating closely with engineers to ensure designs ship successfully
- Employ various UX research methods to inform and validate design system decisions
- Transform research insights into clear, practical improvements that strengthen the system
- Create comprehensive documentation that helps designers and engineers work more efficiently
- Partner with stakeholders across design, product, and engineering teams to ensure deliverability
What You Bring
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in HCI, Interaction Design, Computer Science, or related field
- Genuine curiosity about how users interact with products and digital experiences
- Proven hands-on experience with Figma; familiarity with Storybook is a bonus
- Strong interest in UX research methodologies and enthusiasm for applying them in practice
- Systems thinking mindset—you enjoy organizing, structuring, and improving how things work
- Demonstrated commitment to accessibility and inclusive design principles
- Excellent communication skills with openness to constructive feedback
