The Role: Lifecycle Marketing Lead
Roofr is seeking a strategic and execution-focused Lifecycle Marketing Lead to own the complete customer journey from acquisition through expansion and retention. This is a highly hands-on position where you'll combine technical marketing expertise with creative problem-solving to drive engagement and revenue growth. You're not just strategizing—you're building, launching, and optimizing campaigns that move the needle.
As the Lifecycle Marketing Lead, you'll be the driving force behind customer engagement across the entire Roofr platform. You'll lead end-to-end lifecycle efforts spanning email, SMS, in-app messaging, sales sequences, and automated nurture workflows. Working closely with contractors at every stage of their journey, you'll develop deeply segmented, data-driven campaigns tied directly to key business outcomes. Your role bridges marketing, revenue, product, and data teams to ensure every touchpoint delivers value and drives measurable results.
What You'll Own and Accomplish
- Customer Lifecycle Mapping & Optimization: Design and continuously improve Roofr's entire customer lifecycle. Identify trends, pinpoint drop-off points, uncover behavior-based triggers, and implement systematic improvements that enhance every stage of the customer experience.
- Multi-Channel Campaign Development: Build and optimize sophisticated, behavior-driven campaigns across email, SMS, in-app messaging, sales sequences, and drip flows. Leverage advanced segmentation, A/B testing, and performance analysis to iterate rapidly and improve results.
- Funnel-Specific Strategy: Partner with marketing and revenue teams to translate customer insights into targeted campaigns designed for activation, retention, and revenue expansion. Ensure messaging resonates with contractor needs at each journey stage.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work seamlessly with Growth, Content, Product Marketing, and Revenue Operations teams. Test messaging variations, creative assets, conversion touchpoints, and user flows to maximize campaign effectiveness.
- Data & Analytics Leadership: Own comprehensive campaign reporting across HubSpot, Amplitude, GA4, and Pendo. Track activation, engagement, retention, and upsell metrics with precision. Transform data insights into actionable optimizations that drive continuous improvement.
- Data Quality & Personalization: Partner with Revenue Ops and Data teams to ensure clean, reliable customer and campaign data. Enable effective automation and personalization at scale.
What You Bring to the Table
- 4+ Years Lifecycle Marketing Experience: Proven track record in lifecycle marketing, email marketing, or marketing automation within startup SaaS environments. You understand the unique challenges and opportunities of scaling customer engagement in early-stage companies.
- Hands-On Campaign Expertise: Demonstrated success building, launching, and optimizing cross-channel customer journeys from concept to execution. You're comfortable owning the entire build process, not just providing strategic direction.
- PLG & Sales-Led Motion Proficiency: Experience supporting both product-led growth (PLG) and sales-assisted models. You understand how to nurture users through self-serve experiences while also enabling sales teams with effective sequences and touchpoints.
- Marketing Technology Mastery: Strong hands-on expertise with email marketing platforms, marketing automation tools, CRM systems (preferably HubSpot), and analytics platforms. You can execute without constant support.
- Data-Driven Mindset: Comfort with metrics, analytics, and SQL-based querying. You make decisions backed by data and understand how to structure experiments for statistical significance.
- Communication & Influence: Ability to influence cross-functional teams without direct authority. You communicate clearly, build alignment around insights, and drive execution across departments.
- Startup Mentality: Thriving in fast-paced, ambiguous environments. You're resourceful, adaptable, and energized by wearing multiple hats and making tangible business impact.
