About the Role
As a Sales Executive in our CPG division, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth and expanding our customer base within the national packaged goods sector. This remote position offers flexibility while maintaining strong connections with our headquarters operations and cross-functional teams. You will leverage your sales expertise to identify new business opportunities, nurture existing client relationships, and exceed quarterly and annual sales targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets within assigned territories or accounts
- Identify, prospect, and qualify new business opportunities in the CPG market segment
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders at national CPG companies
- Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and product demonstrations
- Negotiate contracts and close deals while maintaining healthy profit margins
- Collaborate with marketing, product, and customer success teams to support customer acquisition and retention
- Monitor market trends and competitive landscape to inform sales strategy
- Maintain accurate sales forecasts and pipeline reporting in CRM systems
- Provide regular updates to management on sales activities, pipeline health, and market feedback
- Participate in industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to expand market presence
About You
You are an experienced sales professional with a proven track record of success in B2B sales, preferably within the packaging, labeling, manufacturing, or CPG industries. You possess exceptional communication and negotiation skills, combined with a consultative selling approach. Your ability to build rapport, understand customer needs, and articulate value propositions will be critical to your success in this role.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of proven B2B sales experience, preferably in packaging, labeling, or CPG sectors
- Strong understanding of the consumer packaged goods industry and market dynamics
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Proficiency with CRM software and sales management tools
- Self-motivated with ability to work independently in a remote environment
- Strong organizational and time management capabilities
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or related field (or equivalent professional experience)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience selling labeling or packaging solutions
- Knowledge of Avery Dennison products and industry positioning
- Established relationships within the national CPG buyer community
- Experience managing large accounts or complex sales cycles
