SAP HCM Test Consultant

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced SAP HCM Test Consultant to join our growing team at FusionConsulting. This is a unique opportunity to work on enterprise-level Human Capital Management implementations and support critical business processes for global organizations. As a Test Consultant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the quality and functionality of SAP HCM systems across multiple deployment scenarios.

In this remote position, you will be responsible for designing comprehensive testing strategies, creating detailed test cases, executing functional and integration tests, and identifying defects within SAP HCM modules. Your expertise will directly impact the success of implementations and help our clients achieve their organizational goals through optimized HR and payroll processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute detailed test plans and test cases for SAP HCM implementations, including modules such as Recruitment, Onboarding, Learning Management, Compensation, and Benefits Administration
• Conduct functional, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT) to validate system configurations against business requirements
• Identify, document, and track defects using appropriate testing tools and defect management systems
• Collaborate with functional consultants, technical teams, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage
• Perform regression testing to ensure that system updates and patches do not negatively impact existing functionality
• Execute end-to-end process testing across multiple SAP HCM modules and their integration with other SAP components
• Participate in requirement analysis sessions and provide testing insights to improve solution quality
• Create and maintain test documentation, including test scripts, test data specifications, and testing reports
• Support UAT activities by training end-users and providing testing guidance
• Identify process improvements and optimization opportunities based on testing findings

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of proven experience as a Test Consultant or QA professional specializing in SAP HCM implementations
• Deep functional knowledge of SAP HCM modules, including Personnel Administration, Recruitment, Onboarding, Compensation Management, and Benefits
• Strong understanding of SAP system architecture and integration points with other SAP modules (FI, CO, SD)
• Proficiency in test management tools such as SAP Solution Manager, HP ALM, or equivalent platforms
• Experience with automated testing tools relevant to SAP environments
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, with capability to work effectively in cross-functional teams
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple testing engagements simultaneously
• Experience in full-cycle testing methodologies and SDLC processes

Preferred Qualifications

• SAP certification in HCM modules (e.g., SAP Certified Associate – HR Consultant)
• Experience with Agile or DevOps testing methodologies
• Knowledge of SAP SuccessFactors or other cloud-based HR solutions
• Background in global payroll or international HR processes
• Familiarity with test automation frameworks and scripting languages
• Experience supporting implementations in complex, multi-regional environments
