Inetum2 is seeking a Senior Core Network Engineer with deep expertise in IP/MPLS and 3GPP Evolved Packet Core (EPC) technologies. This is a critical position for engineers who excel at designing, implementing, and optimizing complex mobile network infrastructures. As a Senior Core Network Engineer, you will be responsible for architecting and managing core network solutions, troubleshooting complex network issues, and ensuring high availability and performance across IP/MPLS and 3GPP EPC environments. This role offers the opportunity to work with leading-edge telecom technologies and collaborate with international teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement IP/MPLS network architectures for carrier-grade deployments
- Configure and optimize 3GPP EPC (Evolved Packet Core) systems including MME, SGW, and PGW components
- Perform network troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and performance optimization
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless network integration
- Monitor and maintain network infrastructure to meet SLA requirements
- Document network designs, configurations, and operational procedures
- Stay current with evolving telecommunications standards and best practices
- Support capacity planning and network expansion initiatives
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional experience in core network engineering
- Advanced expertise in IP/MPLS protocols and technologies
- In-depth knowledge of 3GPP EPC architecture and signaling
- Strong understanding of LTE/4G mobile network infrastructure
- Experience with network diagnostic tools and performance analysis
- Proficiency in network configuration and vendor-specific platforms
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
- Strong communication skills and ability to document technical solutions
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with 5G NR (New Radio) and next-generation network architecture
- Knowledge of network security and DDoS mitigation strategies
- Familiarity with network automation and scripting languages
- Relevant certifications (CCNA, CCNP, or telecom-specific credentials)
- Experience working in agile or DevOps-driven environments
