As a Senior IT Project/Program Manager specializing in SAP system integration, you will be responsible for overseeing large-scale IT transformation projects within the pharmaceutical sector. You will manage cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and complex technical dependencies while ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end SAP system integration projects from planning through implementation and optimization
• Develop comprehensive project plans, timelines, and resource allocation strategies for complex IT initiatives
• Manage stakeholder expectations across executive, technical, and operational teams
• Identify and mitigate project risks, ensuring pharmaceutical compliance and regulatory requirements are met
• Oversee budget management and ensure cost-effective project delivery
• Coordinate with multiple departments including IT, quality assurance, manufacturing, and regulatory affairs
• Implement and monitor project governance frameworks aligned with pharmaceutical industry standards
• Lead post-implementation reviews and ensure knowledge transfer to operational teams
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives for project delivery processes
• Communicate project status, risks, and outcomes to C-level executives and board stakeholders

Required Qualifications

• Proven experience: 10+ years in IT project/program management with demonstrated success leading enterprise-scale initiatives
• SAP expertise: Hands-on experience with SAP system implementations, integrations, and upgrades in complex environments
• Pharmaceutical knowledge: Deep understanding of pharma operations, compliance requirements (GxP, 21 CFR Part 11), and regulatory frameworks (FDA, EMA, etc.)
• Project management certification: PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent professional certification required
• Technical acumen: Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, enterprise systems, and technical architecture relevant to SAP
• Leadership skills: Ability to lead, mentor, and influence technical and non-technical teams across organizational boundaries
• Problem-solving: Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills with proven ability to navigate complex technical and business challenges
• Communication: Outstanding written and verbal communication skills for engaging with all organizational levels

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Agile and waterfall project management methodologies
• Familiarity with other enterprise systems beyond SAP (Oracle, JDE, etc.)
• Background in supply chain, manufacturing, or quality assurance systems within pharma
• Experience with digital transformation initiatives in regulated industries
• Knowledge of pharmaceutical data governance and master data management
