About This Role

As a Senior IT Project Manager, you will be responsible for end-to-end project delivery of enterprise-level SAP integration initiatives. Your expertise in managing LIMS and MES systems within regulated pharmaceutical environments will be essential. You'll work with cross-functional teams including IT, operations, quality assurance, and business stakeholders to ensure seamless system implementations and integrations that meet strict industry standards.

This remote position offers the flexibility to work from anywhere globally while contributing to high-impact projects in one of the most heavily regulated industries. You'll leverage your deep understanding of pharma IT landscapes, SAP ecosystems, and integration methodologies to drive successful project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage end-to-end SAP integration projects, specifically focusing on LIMS and MES implementations
• Develop comprehensive project plans, timelines, and resource allocation strategies for complex technical initiatives
• Serve as the primary liaison between IT teams, business units, and external vendors/partners
• Ensure all projects comply with pharmaceutical regulatory requirements (FDA 21 CFR Part 11, GxP guidelines, etc.)
• Monitor project budgets, track KPIs, and provide regular executive-level reporting and communication
• Identify and mitigate project risks, implementing contingency plans as needed
• Coordinate system testing, validation, and quality assurance activities throughout project lifecycle
• Manage change control processes and stakeholder communication during implementations
• Conduct lessons learned sessions and document best practices for continuous improvement
• Mentor junior project managers and contribute to team development

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years of IT project management experience, with at least 3+ years managing SAP integrations
• Proven expertise with LIMS (Laboratory Information Management Systems) and/or MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems)
• Strong background in pharmaceutical or highly regulated industries (healthcare, biotech, life sciences)
• PMP (Project Management Professional) or PRINCE2 certification strongly preferred
• In-depth knowledge of SAP modules (MM, PP, QM, PI, or equivalent)
• Experience with enterprise integration tools and middleware solutions
• Solid understanding of GxP compliance and FDA 21 CFR Part 11 requirements
• Excellent stakeholder management and executive communication skills
• Proven track record of delivering complex projects on time and within budget
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies in enterprise environments
• Knowledge of API integration and cloud-based SAP solutions (S/4HANA, SAP Cloud)
• Familiarity with pharmaceutical manufacturing processes and quality systems
• Previous experience leading cross-cultural, distributed teams
• Understanding of digital transformation initiatives in manufacturing
