ServiceNow is seeking a highly experienced Principal Full-Stack Engineer to join our Experience Team. This is an exceptional opportunity for a senior-level engineer who is passionate about building world-class user experiences and scalable platform solutions.
As a Principal Full-Stack Engineer, you will play a critical leadership role in architecting and developing both frontend and backend systems that power the ServiceNow platform. You'll work with cross-functional teams to design and implement solutions that impact millions of users globally, while mentoring other engineers and establishing technical best practices across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop full-stack solutions spanning modern frontend frameworks and robust backend systems
- Lead technical architecture decisions and drive implementation of complex, scalable features
- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and stakeholders to translate requirements into elegant technical solutions
- Conduct code reviews and establish coding standards that elevate team quality
- Participate in system design discussions and contribute to long-term technical strategy
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across the full application stack
- Contribute to open-source initiatives and stay current with emerging technologies
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of professional software engineering experience
- Demonstrated expertise in full-stack development with proven mastery of both frontend and backend technologies
- Strong background with modern JavaScript frameworks and server-side technologies
- Experience designing and building scalable, high-performance systems
- Excellent communication and leadership skills with ability to influence across teams
- Track record of delivering high-impact projects in fast-paced environments
- Deep understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and best practices
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Experience with ServiceNow platform or enterprise software
- Knowledge of cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
- Background in user experience optimization
