About the Role
Simular is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to join their team and play a critical role in bringing AI agents to life in real-world customer environments. This is a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of customer success, product development, and cutting-edge AI technology. You'll be a founding multiplier—scrappy, resourceful, and deeply customer-obsessed—who translates customer needs into powerful, production-ready solutions.
As a Forward Deployed Engineer, you won't be siloed in a traditional engineering role. Instead, you'll be the vital bridge connecting customer-facing teams with core engineering and research, ensuring that customer feedback directly shapes the product roadmap and drives meaningful impact.
What You'll Do
Partner with Early Customers: Work directly with early-stage customers to deploy and adapt Simular's AI agents in real-world environments, ensuring successful implementation and maximum value realization.
Translate Needs into Solutions: Convert customer requirements and business challenges into technical product features, prototypes, and integrations that solve tangible problems.
Write Automation & Workflows: Develop scripts and workflows to customize and adapt AI agents for customer-specific environments, environments, and use cases.
Build Custom Solutions: Create bespoke tools, workflows, and integrations that showcase Simular's capabilities in production settings and deliver measurable business outcomes.
Drive Product Feedback Loop: Act as the critical link between customer insights and engineering teams, translating real-world feedback into prioritized roadmap items that accelerate product development.

You Might Be a Fit If
Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
Strong Scripting Proficiency: Demonstrated expertise in Python, Bash, JavaScript, or similar languages with the ability to quickly automate workflows and build functional solutions.
Customer-Facing Experience: Background working directly with customers or in client-facing engineering roles. Alternatively, you're comfortable engaging directly with customers and translating business needs into technical implementations.
Thrive in Ambiguity: You excel in dynamic, undefined environments where you can balance rapid problem-solving with strategic, long-term product thinking.
Excellent Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills combined with a collaborative mindset that fosters alignment across teams.
Bonus Qualifications: Experience deploying SaaS or AI systems, consulting or solutions engineering background, customer success engineering, or other customer-facing technical roles.
