Software Engineer (Slalom - DTE)

About This Role

Inetum2 is seeking a talented Software Engineer to join our Slalom Digital Transformation Engineering (DTE) team in a fully remote capacity. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled developer to contribute to meaningful projects while working flexibly from anywhere in the world.

As a Software Engineer on the Slalom DTE team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust software solutions that drive digital transformation initiatives. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, UX designers, and other engineers to deliver high-quality applications that solve real business challenges.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable software applications using modern programming languages and frameworks
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of development practices
• Collaborate with team members to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications
• Write clean, maintainable code following established coding standards and best practices
• Debug and troubleshoot software issues, implementing effective solutions
• Participate in agile development cycles including sprint planning, daily standups, and retrospectives
• Contribute to architectural decisions and technical documentation
• Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends in software development
• Work with version control systems and CI/CD pipelines to ensure code quality
• Support deployment and maintenance of applications in various environments

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent professional experience)
• Demonstrated experience with one or more programming languages such as Java, Python, C#, JavaScript, or Go
• Strong understanding of software development principles, design patterns, and SOLID principles
• Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases
• Familiarity with RESTful API design and development
• Knowledge of version control systems (Git)
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong communication abilities with the capacity to work effectively in remote team environments

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
• Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes
• Knowledge of microservices architecture patterns
• Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools
• Background in Agile/Scrum methodologies
• Experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) tools
• Contributions to open-source projects
