Quality Assurance Intern (GRE)

About This Role

SoftwareMind is seeking a detail-oriented and enthusiastic Quality Assurance Intern to join our growing team in a fully remote position. What You'll Do

• Execute manual and automated test cases to identify bugs, defects, and inconsistencies in software applications
• Participate in test planning and strategy sessions, learning industry best practices for quality assurance
• Document test results accurately and communicate findings to development teams through clear, actionable reports
• Collaborate with developers and product managers to understand requirements and validate software functionality
• Perform regression testing to ensure that code changes do not introduce new defects
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of test automation scripts using industry-standard tools
• Participate in exploratory testing to identify edge cases and potential user experience issues
• Support the QA team in continuous improvement initiatives and process optimization
• Assist in setting up and maintaining test environments and test data
• Learn and apply quality assurance methodologies, tools, and best practices throughout your internship

What We're Looking For

• Currently enrolled in or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Familiarity with testing concepts, methodologies, and the software development lifecycle (SDLC)
• Basic knowledge of test case creation and test execution procedures
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Ability to work independently while also thriving in a collaborative team environment
• Proficiency with common QA tools and platforms (experience with tools like Jira, TestRail, Selenium, or similar is a plus)
• Familiarity with version control systems such as Git is beneficial
• Proactive attitude with a passion for learning and professional development
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple test cases and priorities
