About the Role

Join Spotify as a Senior Analyst, Global Rights and Clearances, and take ownership of end-to-end rights clearance operations across the Asia-Pacific region. This is a strategic position where you'll negotiate and secure essential permissions for Spotify-produced content and campaigns—both on and off platform. You'll work with significant autonomy, partnering directly with local and regional rights holders to maintain project momentum while thoughtfully managing legal and commercial risk.

This role combines complex licensing negotiations with meticulous rights management. You'll handle diverse clearance needs ranging from large-scale licenses to one-off permissions for third-party content used across live performances, performance footage, marketing campaigns, events, and Spotify Studios productions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead rights clearance negotiations with local and regional rights holders across the APAC territory, securing permissions for diverse content types and use cases
• Manage licensing portfolios for Spotify-produced content, live events, marketing campaigns, and studio projects with varying complexity and scale
• Maintain accurate rights information through detailed cue sheet management, term negotiation, and approval tracking across clearance and rights management systems
• Provide strategic guidance to internal teams on third-party content usage policies, licensing requirements, and risk mitigation throughout project lifecycles
• Coordinate cross-functional partnerships with production, marketing, legal, and studio teams to ensure informed decision-making and timely project delivery
• Manage administrative processes including contract execution, fee reconciliation, and compliance documentation

What You'll Bring

You're an experienced rights and clearances professional with proven success managing complex licensing negotiations in a media or entertainment environment. You understand music publishing, mechanical rights, performance rights, and synchronization licensing. Your strong communication skills enable you to build trusted relationships with external stakeholders while translating complex legal requirements into practical business guidance.

You're detail-oriented and organized, comfortable managing multiple concurrent projects with competing deadlines. You have experience with rights management software and databases, and you thrive in collaborative, fast-paced environments where ownership and initiative are valued.
