The Role

We are seeking a Tech Lead for our LLM team to take strategic ownership of our conversational intelligence platform. In this leadership position, you will:

• Lead and mentor a team of 3+ engineers focused on large language model architecture, training, and deployment
• Own the architecture decisions for LLM infrastructure handling 80+ million tokens daily at massive scale
• Drive model training, fine-tuning, and optimization strategies for personalized AI companions
• Oversee deployment pipelines and ensure reliability, performance, and safety across millions of concurrent users
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product, infrastructure, and safety teams to deliver cutting-edge AI features
• Set technical direction and best practices for LLM development within the organization

What We're Looking For

You are an experienced technical leader with deep expertise in large language models and generative AI. Ideal candidates will have:

• 5+ years of software engineering experience, with 2+ years in LLM/generative AI roles
• Proven experience leading engineering teams and mentoring senior engineers
• Strong foundation in transformer architectures, fine-tuning techniques, and prompt engineering
• Experience with major LLM frameworks (PyTorch, Hugging Face, LangChain, or similar)
• Track record scaling AI systems to production at significant throughput
• Understanding of model optimization, quantization, and inference acceleration
• Familiarity with safety, moderation, and responsible AI principles
• Excellent communication skills and ability to influence without authority
• Passion for building products that reach millions of users globally
