About the Role
As an Associate Product Usage Analyst, you will be responsible for collecting, analysing, and interpreting product usage data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement. Your insights will directly inform product decisions, feature prioritisation, and strategic initiatives that enhance our platform's value for educators and learners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyse quantitative and qualitative product usage data across Turnitin's platform to identify user behaviour patterns and trends
- Create comprehensive reports and dashboards that visualise key metrics, user engagement, and feature adoption rates
- Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and designers to define meaningful KPIs and success metrics
- Conduct user segmentation analysis to understand different user groups and their interaction patterns
- Track product performance against established baselines and investigate anomalies or unexpected changes
- Identify opportunities for feature optimisation and user experience improvements through data-driven analysis
- Present findings and recommendations to cross-functional stakeholders in clear, actionable formats
- Support A/B testing initiatives and measure their impact on user behaviour and platform performance
- Maintain data integrity and accuracy by establishing robust data validation processes
- Stay current with industry trends in product analytics and EdTech to benchmark against competitors
What We're Looking For
You bring a combination of analytical excellence, curiosity about user behaviour, and a passion for supporting education through technology. The ideal candidate will possess:
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in SQL, Python, or R for data manipulation and analysis
- Data visualisation expertise using tools such as Tableau, Looker, Power BI, or similar platforms
- Experience with product analytics and understanding of key metrics like DAU/MAU, retention, churn, and feature adoption
- Familiarity with analytics platforms such as Google Analytics, Mixpanel, Amplitude, or Segment
- Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets for data analysis, statistical testing, and reporting
- Bachelor's degree in data science, statistics, mathematics, computer science, business analytics, or related field (or equivalent professional experience)
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex data findings into clear recommendations for non-technical audiences
- Attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and quality
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment
