About the Role

Turnitin LLC is seeking an Associate Product Usage Analyst to join our dynamic product analytics team. This is a remote position based in the UK, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere while contributing to a global educational technology company. You will play a crucial role in understanding how educators, students, and institutions leverage our platform to enhance academic integrity and learning outcomes.

As an Associate Product Usage Analyst, you will be responsible for gathering, analysing, and interpreting user behaviour data across our suite of products. Your insights will directly inform product development decisions, feature prioritisation, and strategic growth initiatives. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including product managers, engineers, designers, and executive stakeholders to translate data into actionable recommendations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive analysis of product usage metrics, user engagement patterns, and feature adoption rates
  • Design and execute analytics queries to extract meaningful insights from large datasets
  • Develop dashboards and visualisations to monitor key performance indicators and communicate findings to stakeholders
  • Identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for product optimisation through data-driven investigation
  • Collaborate with product teams to define success metrics and establish baseline measurements for new initiatives
  • Prepare reports and presentations that translate complex data into clear, actionable business insights
  • Contribute to the development of analytics frameworks and best practices across the organisation
  • Support A/B testing and experimentation programmes to validate product hypotheses
  • Investigate user behaviour questions and provide ad-hoc analysis to support decision-making

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or equivalent)
  • Proven experience with SQL or similar database query languages
  • Strong proficiency with data visualisation tools (Tableau, Looker, Power BI, or similar)
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate complex analytical concepts to non-technical audiences
  • Familiarity with product analytics platforms and event tracking methodologies
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • UK work authorisation or visa sponsorship eligibility

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in EdTech or SaaS product analytics
  • Knowledge of statistical testing and experimental design
  • Familiarity with Python or R for data analysis
  • Experience with customer segmentation and cohort analysis
  • Understanding of academic technology workflows and institutional challenges
