About This Role
Turnitin is seeking an Associate Product Usage Analyst to join our growing team in a fully remote position based in the UK. This is an excellent opportunity for a data-driven professional who is passionate about understanding user behaviour, product adoption patterns, and driving meaningful insights that shape product strategy and customer success initiatives.
As an Associate Product Usage Analyst, you will be responsible for collecting, analysing, and interpreting product usage data to help stakeholders across the organisation make informed decisions. This role sits at the intersection of product management, customer success, and data analytics, offering exposure to cross-functional collaboration and strategic business impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse product usage metrics and user behaviour patterns to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement
- Create dashboards and visualisations that communicate complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders
- Collaborate with product, engineering, and customer success teams to define key performance indicators (KPIs) and success metrics
- Generate actionable recommendations based on quantitative analysis to optimise user engagement and product adoption
- Monitor and track product health metrics, including user retention, feature adoption, and churn indicators
- Conduct exploratory data analysis to investigate customer behaviour and validate hypotheses about product usage
- Support A/B testing initiatives by designing experiment frameworks and analysing results
- Prepare regular reports and executive summaries highlighting key findings and business implications
- Maintain data quality standards and document analysis methodologies for reproducibility
- Stay current with industry best practices in product analytics and user research
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience in product analytics, data analysis, or a related analytical role
- Strong proficiency with SQL for querying and manipulating datasets
- Experience with data visualisation tools such as Tableau, Looker, Power BI, or similar platforms
- Solid understanding of statistical concepts and analytical methods
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical findings into business language
- Ability to work independently while also being a strong team collaborator
- Attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
- Familiarity with SaaS product environments and user engagement metrics
- Experience with analytics platforms and customer data infrastructure is advantageous
- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics) or equivalent professional experience
