About This Role

Turnitin is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Associate Product Usage Analyst to join our growing product team in a fully remote capacity. This is an excellent opportunity for a data-driven professional to make a meaningful impact on our global education technology platform, which serves millions of educators and students worldwide.

In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing user behavior, product adoption metrics, and engagement patterns across Turnitin's suite of academic integrity and learning solutions. You'll work closely with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to translate complex data into actionable insights that drive product improvements and strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze product usage data and user engagement metrics to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement
  • Build and maintain dashboards and reports that track key performance indicators (KPIs) across product lines
  • Conduct user behavior analysis to understand how customers interact with Turnitin's features and identify friction points
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, engineering, and customer success to define success metrics and monitor product health
  • Prepare data-driven recommendations for product enhancements, feature prioritization, and user experience optimization
  • Support A/B testing and experimentation initiatives by analyzing results and providing statistical insights
  • Document findings in clear, compelling reports and presentations for both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Maintain data quality standards and contribute to data governance best practices
  • Stay current with industry trends in product analytics and educational technology

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, Business Analytics) or equivalent professional experience
  • 2+ years of experience in product analytics, business intelligence, or data analysis roles
  • Proficiency with data visualization and analytics tools such as Tableau, Looker, Power BI, or similar platforms
  • Strong SQL skills for querying relational databases and extracting complex datasets
  • Solid understanding of statistical concepts and A/B testing methodologies
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex analyses to non-technical audiences
  • Detail-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving capabilities
  • Self-motivated and comfortable working independently in a remote environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in the EdTech or SaaS industry
  • Familiarity with Python, R, or other data programming languages
  • Experience with Google Analytics, Mixpanel, Amplitude, or similar product analytics platforms
  • Knowledge of academic integrity tools or assessment technology
  • Experience with agile product development methodologies
  • Master's degree or certification in Data Science, Business Analytics, or related field
