About the Role

United Infrastructure is seeking an experienced Project Planner to join our dynamic team in a fully remote capacity. As a Project Planner, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing project schedules, timelines, and resource allocation plans. You will work cross-functionally with project managers, engineers, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget. Your expertise in project planning methodologies, scheduling tools, and risk management will be essential to our success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop comprehensive project plans, schedules, and timelines using industry-standard planning software
  • Monitor project progress against established baselines and identify variances early
  • Create detailed work breakdown structures (WBS) and resource allocation matrices
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies for schedule and resource constraints
  • Prepare regular progress reports and presentations for senior management and stakeholders
  • Collaborate with project managers and field teams to ensure realistic scheduling and resource planning
  • Optimize workflows and identify opportunities for schedule acceleration and cost savings
  • Maintain accurate project documentation and ensure compliance with planning standards
  • Support contract negotiations by providing detailed schedule and resource impact analyses
  • Mentor junior planners and contribute to continuous improvement of planning processes

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in project planning, preferably in infrastructure, construction, or engineering sectors
  • Expert proficiency with project scheduling software (Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, or equivalent)
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (PMBOK, Agile, Waterfall)
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize effectively
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills for diverse audiences
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills for data analysis and reporting
  • Professional Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification preferred

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with infrastructure development, energy, transportation, or large-scale construction projects
  • Familiarity with earned value management (EVM) and performance metrics
  • Knowledge of GIS, CAD integration with scheduling software, or BIM processes
  • Experience with resource management platforms and workforce planning tools
  • Background in stakeholder management and client-facing reporting
