About the Role
iCapital is seeking a high-performing Vice President of Alternatives Distribution to lead sales coverage for the Eastern Canada region. As a senior sales leader, you will drive adoption of alternative investment solutions across Canadian registered dealers, investment advisors, family offices, and private wealth platforms. This role sits within iCapital's Canadian Alternatives Distribution business and plays a key part in deepening advisor engagement, scaling the distribution footprint, and contributing to continued growth of Canada's alternatives ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
- Build deep expertise across private credit, private equity, real estate, infrastructure, and hedge fund strategies
- Develop and execute a proactive regional coverage plan to expand iCapital's presence among advisors and dealer platforms
- Use consultative sales approaches to acquire new relationships, expand existing accounts, and deliver exceptional ongoing client service
- Deliver thoughtful advisor education on incorporating alternative investments into diversified client portfolios
- Partner with Canadian leadership to refine coverage models including regional segmentation, territory optimization, and investor analytics
- Lead onboarding and engagement of new advisor relationships onto iCapital's platform to facilitate product access and adoption
- Collaborate across iCapital's stakeholders to position the firm's value proposition and service offerings effectively
- Represent iCapital at regional and national industry events, conferences, and advisor seminars
- Maintain high professionalism and market presence as a senior external face of the Canadian distribution business
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of client-facing experience in the Canadian investment industry (external wholesaling, capital raising, national accounts, client portfolio management, or product specialist roles)
- Bachelor's degree required
- Bilingual fluency in English and French (required)
- Demonstrated success selling or supporting diverse investment strategies, ideally with alternative investment exposure
- Direct, established relationships with Canadian banks, independent dealers, family offices, and investment advisors in the target region
- CFA or CAIA certification, or progress toward completion (preferred)
- Regulatory registration as Registered Individual (Exempt Market Dealer); CIM designation or CSC completion preferred
- Highly motivated self-starter thriving in entrepreneurial, growth-oriented environments with limited oversight
- Outstanding relationship-building, communication, and presentation skills

This is a fully remote position based in Eastern Canada, offering flexibility while enabling you to build deep regional relationships within the Canadian investment community.
