Key Responsibilities

Write high-quality sports articles covering matches, teams, players, transfers, and tactical developments.
Create different content formats such as match previews, analysis, opinion pieces, feature stories, and deep-dive articles.
Translate complex sports statistics and tactical insights into clear and engaging narratives.
Deliver well-structured, original, and factually accurate content within agreed deadlines.
Proactively pitch new article ideas based on trends, fixtures, and audience interests.
Follow the company’s editorial guidelines, brand voice, and SEO best practices.

Requirements

Proven experience writing sports-related content (portfolio required).
Strong knowledge and passion for at least one major sport.
Ability to analyze matches beyond surface-level commentary.
Capability to express clear and well-supported opinions using data and context.
Excellent written English skills and strong attention to detail.
Native proficiency in one of the Nordic languages.
Comfortable working independently in a remote freelance environment.
Basic knowledge of SEO content writing and digital publishing is preferred.
