Principal Marketing Analytics Manager
💰 $80,000 – $130,000/yr
Job Description
About This Role
Greenhouse is seeking a Principal Marketing Analytics Manager to join our growing team. Reporting directly to the VP of Growth Marketing, you will own the complete analytics strategy, reporting architecture, and performance insights for our entire marketing organization. This is a high-visibility, strategic position that serves as the analytical engine driving company-wide growth initiatives.
This role goes beyond traditional data management. You will transform raw data into intelligence—synthesizing complex metrics into compelling narratives that drive executive-level decision-making. As the primary architect of our executive operating reviews and quarterly business reviews (QBRs), you'll translate sophisticated data analysis into clear "So What" insights that influence investment decisions at the highest levels of the organization.
Who Will Thrive in This Role
- Data Devotees – You're obsessed with uncovering narratives hidden within data. You excel at translating technical metrics into strategic business stories that resonate powerfully with executive audiences and stakeholders.
- Proactive Partners – You don't wait for tickets or roadmaps. You actively sit in huddles with Demand Gen, Content, and Brand leads, identifying pain points and building solutions before teams even realize they need them.
- Master Storytellers – You possess executive presence and the ability to walk into a QBR prepared to deliver perspective, not just numbers. You clearly articulate where the organization is winning, where it's losing, and where strategic pivots are necessary.
- AI-First Builders – You demonstrate a high bias for action and leverage AI tools to scale your impact. You'd rather deploy a v1.0 dashboard today using an LLM than spend a month drafting a perfect framework that never launches.
- Radical Collaborators – You find genuine fulfillment in the enablement side of analytics. You take satisfaction in building tools, automations, and bots that make your entire team smarter and faster.
Key Responsibilities
- Build & Automate Analytics Infrastructure – Own the technical "Single Source of Truth" for the organization. You'll migrate critical OKR and KPI reporting from manual spreadsheets to automated, centralized dashboards leveraging Snowflake and Tableau, eliminating inefficiencies and enabling real-time insights.
- Design Executive Reporting Architecture – Architect and maintain comprehensive reporting systems that provide executives with actionable intelligence. Ensure all stakeholders have instant access to performance metrics aligned with company strategy.
- Develop Strategic Insights – Move beyond reporting by identifying trends, anomalies, and opportunities within marketing data. Provide forward-looking analysis that informs budget allocation and strategic planning decisions.
- Partner Across Marketing Functions – Collaborate closely with Demand Generation, Content Marketing, Brand, and Product Marketing teams. Understand their unique objectives and deliver customized analytics solutions that drive their success.
- Lead Analytics Enablement – Build self-service tools, dashboards, and automated reports that empower marketing team members to answer their own questions. Create a culture of data-driven decision-making across the organization.
- Communicate Complex Data Effectively – Translate sophisticated analyses into clear, compelling narratives suitable for various audiences. Present findings to executives, marketing leaders, and individual contributors with appropriate context and recommendations.
