About This Role
Meter is building a category-defining brand while moving decisively upmarket. As the company focuses on larger, more complex customers, success requires more than strong sales execution—it demands early, precise, and deeply relevant engagement with the right accounts, buying groups, and partners.
This is a pivotal position as the first dedicated marketer in this specialization. You will be responsible for how Meter engages its most strategic accounts at critical moments. We are seeking an exceptional marketer who thrives in high-stakes environments, operates with depth and precision, and knows how to shape perception and momentum long before deals are signed.
What Success Looks Like
- Within six months, launch fully bespoke 1:1 marketing programs for all 10 priority major accounts, each grounded in deep account research, buying group insights, and partner alignment
- Actively support live opportunities with coordinated, high-impact engagement strategies
- Measurably increase engagement across buying committees, expanding reach to additional stakeholders and influencing key meetings, events, and sales conversations that directly support pipeline progression
- Establish a repeatable majors marketing motion with clear planning, execution, and reporting processes that provide sales and leadership visibility into account engagement and marketing's impact on major deals
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
You'll be deeply embedded in a small set of priority accounts. Your typical day involves reviewing account signals and insights using tools like Demandbase, identifying changes in intent, stakeholder activity, or partner updates that should inform next steps.
Regular syncs with sales and partner leads ensure alignment on account status, ongoing conversations, and where marketing can add leverage. Much of your time is spent planning and steering highly tailored programs: briefing content teams on account-specific messaging, coordinating targeted events or executive touchpoints, and adjusting paid and outbound efforts to match specific initiatives within accounts.
You'll lead cross-functional working sessions to ensure sales, marketing, and partners align on priorities, timing, and execution. Regular performance reviews across accounts help track engagement metrics and ROI. The role balances strategic account thinking with hands-on execution, moving quickly to maintain momentum across Meter's most important deals.
About You
You are a marketer with demonstrated experience in true 1:1 or highly focused account-based marketing (ABM). You understand how to influence complex, multi-stakeholder buying processes and can operate with both strategic vision and tactical precision. You thrive in ambiguous situations, can wear multiple hats, and have a proven track record of working cross-functionally with sales teams. Your strength lies in research-driven strategy, personalized messaging, and the ability to execute coordinated, high-impact campaigns at scale—even when that scale is carefully curated.
