About Your Role

As a Software Engineering Intern, you will gain hands-on experience in building and enhancing cutting-edge applications. You'll work closely with our talented engineering team, contributing to various projects and learning the ins and outs of the software development life cycle. Your Team

Our cross-functional engineering team is passionate about delivering exceptional experiences to our Donors and Giving Partners. With nearly 2 million downloads and a 5-star app rating, we champion their needs and build award-winning UI/UX. Together, we make giving a beautiful experience, connecting people with the causes they care about. You'll be mentored by experienced engineers who are committed to your growth and success.

What You Will Get To Do

  • Take ownership of specific coding tasks and features, allowing you to see your work come to life in a production environment used by millions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, design, and QA to understand requirements and deliver quality solutions
  • Participate in code reviews and learn from senior engineers' feedback and industry best practices
  • Contribute to the development of both backend and frontend features across our mobile and web platforms
  • Learn about fintech development, payment processing, and nonprofit technology in a supportive environment
  • Attend team meetings, technical training sessions, and professional development opportunities
  • Debug and troubleshoot issues, gaining valuable problem-solving experience
  • Document your work and contribute to team knowledge bases and technical documentation

What We're Looking For

You should have a strong foundation in computer science fundamentals and practical coding experience. Familiarity with modern programming languages such as Java, JavaScript, Python, or similar is essential. We value candidates who demonstrate curiosity, a willingness to learn, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Ideal candidates possess problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly. While experience with fintech, mobile development, or startup environments is a plus, we're most interested in your potential to grow and contribute meaningfully to our mission.
