About Abundant

Abundant is building the NVIDIA of training data. AI models depend on two fundamental ingredients: compute and data. While NVIDIA leads compute with a $5T peak market cap and $130B revenue, the need to scale training data is just beginning as the industry moves beyond SFT and human supervision toward RL and Learning from Experience.

Our founding team includes former leaders and ML engineers from Waymo, Google, Mercor, and AWS. We've deployed deep learning models at 1B user scale with DeepMind, trained state-of-the-art models for self-driving, and scaled data pipelines with tens of thousands of human annotators at YouTube.

Why this matters: Training data is increasingly scarce and critical. Scaling laws demand exponential increases in training data for linear improvements in model performance. Most of the World Wide Web has already been trained on. Future advances require breakthroughs in simulation, synthetic data, and learning from experience. Abundant enables AGI, ASI, and physical intelligence by solving the core bottleneck: data availability for domain expertise, AI agents, and multimodal/physical AI systems.

The Role

As Member of the Technical Staff, Research, you are the "PM of the model"—architecting next-generation model reasoning and intelligence. You will lead at the frontier where research and execution collide, co-designing strategies with top-tier researchers from leading AI labs to push state-of-the-art boundaries. This role demands a technical visionary with founder mentality and extreme ownership, capable of infiltrating unknown domains—from chemical engineering to complex legal logic—to extract insights for high-stakes frontier projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive Foundational Research & Execution: Architect and execute a core research agenda discovering simple, generalizable ideas that advance model reasoning at scale. Own the full research-to-production lifecycle and ensure rapid deployment in live systems.
• Co-design research strategies with top AI researchers and labs
• Push state-of-the-art boundaries in model intelligence and reasoning
• Extract domain insights across diverse technical fields for frontier projects
• Maintain extreme ownership and bias toward execution

You excel at the research-execution frontier with a founder mentality. You bring deep technical expertise in machine learning, model architecture, or AI systems. You thrive in ambiguity, rapidly learn new domains, and drive impact from conception to deployment. You're excited by the challenge of scaling training data as the core enabler for AGI and physical intelligence.
