Director of Data Science / Machine Learning

About the Role

Adonis is seeking a strategic AI/ML Leader to drive the development, implementation, and governance of artificial intelligence and machine learning initiatives across the organization. This role combines deep healthcare domain expertise with advanced AI/ML knowledge to deliver cutting-edge, compliant, and valuable AI solutions to healthcare customers. You'll position AI as a core enabler of Adonis's mission to fix the financial health of the healthcare system, working at the intersection of data science, engineering, product development, and healthcare industry expertise.

Key Responsibilities

• AI Strategy & Vision: Develop and execute the overarching AI/ML strategy aligned with business objectives and healthcare industry needs
• Incremental Value Delivery: Balance long-term strategic AI initiatives with quick wins that deliver immediate business impact for revenue cycle management
• Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the Data Science and Machine Learning teams, fostering innovation and excellence in AI development
• AI Governance & Compliance: Establish and maintain a robust AI governance framework ensuring solutions meet healthcare regulatory requirements (HIPAA, FDA, etc.)
• Solution Architecture: Design scalable, production-ready AI/ML architectures that drive value for healthcare customers
• Value Demonstration: Quantify and communicate tangible benefits of Adonis AI solutions to customers, partners, and stakeholders
• MLOps Excellence: Drive best practices for deploying, monitoring, and maintaining AI models in production environments
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with Product, Engineering, Sales, and Customer Success teams to ensure maximum value delivery

Required Experience

• Eight or more years of hands-on experience with AI/ML and deep understanding of machine learning techniques applicable to healthcare
• Substantial experience in healthcare technology, clinical workflows, or related healthcare domain expertise
