About the Role

We are seeking a Manager, Software Development to join one of our Product teams, reporting to the Associate Director. You will cultivate a strong team identity with personalized coaching and mentoring. This role may lead a product team delivering customer-facing capabilities in scheduling, clinical documentation, or billing, or a platform team building shared services and tooling.

You will drive technical excellence and team development, helping AlayaCare scale its product offerings while maintaining high standards of reliability, performance, and customer impact. A key responsibility is raising the bar on how your team builds with AI. AlayaCare Product teams operate AI-first—AI assistance shapes how we specify, build, test, review, and operate software, with humans clearly accountable for correctness, quality, and risk.

People Leadership & Team Development

• Hire, coach, and retain top engineering talent with clear expectations and frequent, actionable feedback
• Foster a high-trust culture of ownership, accountability, inclusion, and continuous learning
• Conduct performance assessments and drive career development using balanced impact metrics—quality, reliability, and outcomes alongside delivery throughput
• Coach engineers at every level on effective and responsible AI-assisted development, raising the floor for adoption across your team

Technical & Operational Excellence

• Own the software delivery lifecycle end-to-end for your team, from technical design to deployment and operations
• Lead by example in engineering standards, technical decisions, operational best practices, and quality ownership
• Collaborate with product, design, and engineering leaders to deliver performant, secure, and scalable solutions
• Own quality responsibility for your team's deliverables, including appropriate test coverage, safe rollout and rollback procedures, and clear production behavior ownership
