The Role

We're building the core systems that power Arta's wealth platform—including trading infrastructure, ledgering, billing, and real-time data pipelines. This role focuses on high-reliability financial systems, where correctness, consistency, and latency are critical.

You'll work on systems such as:

• Trading and order workflows
• Ledger and portfolio accounting systems
• Market data and analytics pipelines

You may also interface with AI-powered systems, but your primary focus is building the financial and data backbone that everything else depends on.

What You Will Do

• Design and build core financial systems (trading, ledger, billing)
• Develop systems for transaction processing, reconciliation, and portfolio state management
• Build and scale real-time and batch data pipelines
• Architect APIs and backend services for internal and external use
• Ensure system reliability, observability, and fault tolerance
• Contribute to distributed systems design (event-driven systems, microservices, streaming)
• Partner with ML teams to integrate models into production systems as needed

Who You Are

• Strong backend or systems engineer with experience in distributed systems
• Experience in at least one of the following:
  • Financial systems (trading, ledger, payments)
  • Data infrastructure
  • Scalable backend platforms
• Strong understanding of system design, consistency, and reliability
• Solid programming skills (Python or similar)
• Experience with modern infrastructure (Kafka, Kubernetes, or equivalent)
