Job Description

About the role

We are hiring for a Senior Associate on Chime’s Compliance Assurance & Testing team. You will work in a fast paced environment and play an essential role in ensuring Chime remains compliant with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and bank partner expectations. In this role you will perform strategic end-to-end compliance testing of Chime’s innovative products and services to identify risks and control gaps. This will involve partnership with internal teams, as well as collaboration with our issuing bank partner’s legal and compliance teams. This role will report to the Head of Compliance Assurance and Testing.

In this role, you can expect to

  • Lead the end-to-end compliance testing process: from strategically scoping the review, partnering with cross functional teams to obtain necessary documentation, performing robust testing and gathering/reporting testing results to senior management.
  • Proactively assist the business by identifying solutions to complex issues/findings and performing follow-up to ensure remediation is successful.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to perform compliance testing and/or to support bank partner testing oversight.
  • Play a key role in creating and designing automated internal compliance monitoring and testing to identify trends, issues, and key performance and risk indicators.
  • Maintain current knowledge of applicable laws and regulations and understand regulatory impact of changes to product/service offerings.

To thrive in this role, you have

  • Have 5-8 years of work experience, including: regulatory compliance testing in Financial Services, Risk Consulting or Fintech companies.
  • Knowledge of laws, regulations, and rules governing consumer financial protection, banking, payment networks, money transmission, and consumer lending.
  • Strong problem-solving skills are essential and demonstrated ability to take initiative and work independently.
  • Work well with ambiguity and multiple priorities while balancing the interests of multiple stakeholders.
  • Analytical skills, such as SQL or data visualization, are a plus.
